What do I need to plan a masquerade themed party?

I never had a sweet 16, so I want to have a masquerade for my 21st birthday.It is going to be black and white. I wanted to know how long do I need to plan for the party? I turn 21 next year, and wasn't sure how long I needed altogether to plan for it. Also, if you can give me a checklist type of thing so I can make sure I have everything. Thanks so much!

It all depends on your budget .

" Low Budget" Buy
-masks (from party city or walmart)
-Decorate your house in all white and black ( or use a relatives house )
-Let everyone know that they must be dressed nicely in black or white
-You can even give out little black and white mardi gras like beaded necklace , and cute little masks . ( that can also be purchesed at your local walmart or party city )

" No Budget"
