Party Planning for a Birthday

Planning a birthday party can be a simple method to complete. There are several ways an individual could accomplish this goal. The first step to a perfect birthday bash is the guest of honor. An individual must know their likes or dislikes. If it is a children's party the methods would be different than a 100 year old's birthday event.

The theme of the event must be decided before the guest list is chosen. This means, will the party be a surprise or some type of themed party. Once that is decided upon, the guest list is the next vital aspect. Choose a list that is appropriate for the expenses and the space for the party. If the area is only zoned for 50 people and the guest list is 75, this method will not work comfortably. As soon as the list is completed, invitations need to be designed and sent out. They need to list the day, the time and what type of theme or surprise party it entails. The invitations need to go out at least 2 weeks in advance.

This is to ensure that each partygoer does not make other plans or can find the special arrangements such as babysitting that they might need.

Decorations are a must for both types of party. These can be found at any party store or they could be hand-made to order. If an exotic theme is desired, hand-made items may be the best way to go.

Enlist the assistance of friends and family to help in this venture. The decorations are a vital step to any birthday party. This alone could make or break the event.

The food and refreshment could be completed three ways. The first method could be a pot-luck. This can be the most inexpensive choice for the host. However, it is vital to add this into the invitations. Explain exactly what types of dishes are needed and in each separate invitation the host could ask for a certain style of dish. Another way is to cater the affair. These could be inexpensive as well, just remember that a person gets what they pay for. If weather permits, a BBQ could be an excellent choice for the food at the party. Everyone loves a BBQ. Refreshments are easy to come by. It is vital that different styles of drinks for the party are there. If children are present, fruit juice, water and soda are great choices. Hiring a bartender may be a good idea as well for the adults. Or have a free-for-all selection of different liquor assortments.

Entertainment is vital for any party. Dancing, music and maybe even a DJ would be an excellent idea. If the host could afford a live band, this would be the ideal entertainment. Party games could be found throughout the internet to keep everyone amused. Some type of entertainment is vital for the birthday party event. It is important to keep everyone happy, full and pleased.
