My son's birthday cake (turning 2 years old)?

I'm going to get him an Elmo cake.... There's probably going to be about 15-20 kids at his party, plus the adults. (We are having it at an indoor bounce play house.)

I'm thinking a cupcake type of cake would be easier for the kids... But I've never had a cake like that before.

Any of you parents out there have any advice?

(And yes, I have a couple more months before his party, but I'm a planner and have to get ideas about everything wayyyy in advance!)
LOL, Jax's Mommy - we are inviting a lot of kids from daycare and then my friends seem have to kept popping babbies out left and right for the past few years... Plus relatives and stuff.

I have an Elmo pan I can send you. When it comes to serving, the cupcake cakes are easier (faster anyway). Red icing for 2 year olds might make some parents cringe. (Not me but I've heard comments from other parents at parties before.)
